So, why the name, "Gonzo's Planet" ?
Gonzo describes a style of writing, often associated with author Hunter S. Thompson, where fact and fiction are blurred. Likewise, we like to think of our interest in music as a sort of undefined space where we can be expressive, creative, and entertaining and free of pretension and stagnation. And hence we blur the lines of genre by borrowing from different styles. And why Planet? That describes how we gravitate towards a common space where we can make music, enjoy ourselves, and entertain people that may briefly cohabitate that space with us. And so, ta dah!, the name Gonzo's Planet was formed!
